Sourcing products from China can seem a daunting task. Our team offers a ‘factory to your door’ service with no hidden costs. Our pricing model means that we do not charge for any of our sourcing time and our profits are generated by units sold to you. This fosters a very collaborative approach with our customers as the service and pricing must work for both parties.

Typically, a sourcing project begins with a detailed brief, which will be used to vet and select potential manufacturers. Our team in china brings on-the-ground support and expertise to this selection process, ranging from exploratory discussions and factory inspections to pre-shipment quality control. Suppliers are rarely chosen on price alone: the cheapest is not always the best fit.

Product sample development, testing and improvement require close collaboration between Tailored imports customer, our teams both in the UK and in Shanghai, and the manufacturer. We work hard to ensure that communication is clear and specific throughout this process, which takes us through to final production approval, manufacturing and export.

Our experience in sourcing and manufacturing ensures that every detail is covered. Be it the request for factories to have ethical compliance certificates through to compliance testing for international standards, our team will ensure that your goods are fit and legal to enter the markets in which they will be used, and will offer all the necessary advice to our clients.

We can take on your product sourcing with end to end management, with a large database of pre-approved suppliers which we have already worked with we can normally find the right supplier or manufacturing partner. With our office in mainland China and contacts in India and Bangladesh we can find the right partner for your products. Tailored Imports handles all elements of price negotiations and product development and will only work with suppliers who have passed our internal audit process.

With an experienced team in the UK and on the ground in China we handle all quality aspects from sample approval, production checks to pre-shipment container checks. Our team can offer guidance on the quality aspects of product design, manufacturing process and packaging.

Our team can ensure that your products are manufactured to the correct UK/EU Safety Standards. We can either review a certification which a supplier already has or work with the many different test houses to obtain product certificates in your companies name. We work closely with major certification bodies and can also offer guidance on IPO queries.

As part of our full supply chain management service we source products for you, then handle the full process including delivery to your business. As a result of this, we hold accounts with major freight forwarders and express companies so can offer great rates and service on anything from a small box of samples out of Hong Kong to multiple 40 foot containers out of Qingdao.

Our experienced team can help you take your concept or design all the way through to a prototype sample and then onto full production. We have experience in many different product sectors and manufacturing processes. We benefit from a team in the Far East to follow up these processes face to face.

PRE-SHIPMENT INSPECTIONS

This is probably one of the most important services we offer. As a company, we will not allow anything to ship from the Far East unless we have conducted final random checks of the products before loading into the container. We have a team in China covering Shanghai, Ningbo and Xiamen with a trusted third party who we have worked with for over five years to undertake our inspections for us. If the production and order is high risk, we can send out our UK team to conduct the inspection.
